The Häxa Curse

This project and album is inspired by a woman who slept for 32 years, Karolina Olsson. The circumstances surrounding her three decades of slumber are mysterious and strange. Nobody knows exactly what happened. Fourteen year old Karolina was out in cold weather, playing alone, when she suffered a head wound. Four days later she had a terrible toothache. Her family attributed all this to the curse of a witch. She was sent to bed. She then slept for 32 years. During this time she was fed two glasses of milk every day while sleeping. She seemed to be decades younger than she really was. Nobody knows what really happened to Karolina Olsson when she was out playing alone. These tracks are composed in a way that means they go on forever. It's as if they were short excerpts of much larger, longer pieces. They are the strange offspring of HNW and death industrial and musique concrète. -The Sleeper of Oknö

big sad

about We heard the first incarnation of the material on big sad by krāllār during Amek Bummer Nights 2019. The processes, sources and sound treatments of this very physical live show deeply intrigued us and we instantly commissioned a recording session of the material with the idea to see it not only preserved but hopefully expanded in a studio work. That session took place in February 2020 and we’re now thrilled to present big sad – Ivan Shentov’s first krāllār tape release for Amek Collective. Behind the seven pieces lies a single-take studio recording of intense tape collages, reamping of found sounds, tape loops and an almost Feedbacker-style fuzz worship. Beautiful and vulnerable even at their rawest and noisiest moments, the tracks on big sad see the artist's trademark tape work reaching new planes of emotional complexity and depth. This results in the album being a very honest and touching journey through the mind of its creator. The noise on big sad is as cathartic as poetry.

It is a grandiose day, as I present to you Sebastian Tomb's first release on ECHØVEIL RECORDS ! On speak in short sentences, listening becomes a misprint. Instructions arrive amputated. You will hear words, yes, but also their shadows, their receipts, their afterbirth. Syntax curls in on itself like a paper animal discovering hunger. Meaning leaks. Meaning breeds. Meaning refuses to be audited. There are things here that cannot be heard, only incurred. Impossible objects drifting at the perimeter of reason, filing taxes in a country that does not admit to existing. Decay, but lacquered. Ecstasy, but infrastructural. Pleasure, but denominated in a currency that stains the fingers and hums when folded. Wet? It is wetter than wet. It is conductivity with intentions. A baptism in liquefied voltage. It threads the nerves like ivy with a degree in sabotage. The body becomes an annex. The annex becomes doctrine. The doctrine begins to conjugate you. Let the words metastasize into liturgy. Let the sentences shorten until they become doors, then hinges, then dust. Live inside this sound as one lives inside a misremembered building: indefinitely, incorrectly, with furniture that breathes when unobserved. A subliminal mezzanine hovers just above the ceiling, sublet to ghosts who prefer paperwork. Hide in the impossible shrubbery, yes, the foliage that files for existence retroactively. Hailing from Türkiye, Koma conjures a bleak, immersive descent into experimental noise ambient soundscapes. Nada unfolds like a decaying transmission from a forgotten realm — dense with spectral textures, distant drones, and fractured signals drifting endlessly into the void. A perfect manifestation of the Voidhaus ethos: uncompromising, introspective, and hauntingly beautiful in its decay.

A Threshold / Eine Schwelle, is the first split release by Gogol (AUS) and HELLBERG (DE). Step through a dense, cold space, slow, heavy, without haste, without turning back. Movement in the shadowy realm between threat and awe. Soundscapes like distant horizons, deep frequencies like subterranean rumblings. As if something immense were breathing in the darkness, and you can only hear its edges. Yet beneath the weight lies something else: a fragile musicality, almost invisible, like light you do not see but feel. No salvation rather, a quiet suggestion that even darkness has structure, and that something can emerge from it. - Gogol & HELLBERG --- Two projects I hold close to the nerve, finally intertwined. A split that breathes in slow spirals: hypnotic, nostalgic, quietly celestial. Four pieces, two per artist, suspended in that fragile corridor between states, where waking dissolves but sleep has not yet claimed the body. Night leaks into day. Thought becomes texture.
